A great story and a very humorous, clean book. I really liked it!
Stanley Yelnats the fourth has had bad luck his entire life. A curse had supposedly been cast upon his great-great-grandfather that had spread to his lineage. When Stanley is framed for stealing major league baseball cleats, he is sent to Camp Greenlake, a juvenile detention camp, where he digs holes all day and is bullied by the other campers. Except for Zero. Zero doesn't talk. He can, but he won't. When a friendship connects between the two boys, and Zero runs away, Stanley must go search for him and get away from the horrible Camp Greenlake. Will the family curse ever be lifted off Stanley and his family?
