The Westing Game *****

By Ellen Raskin
Fiction

DEATH **
VIOLENCE ***
PERIL ***
ROMANTIC AFFAIRS **

A very good, clean, juvenile murder mystery. No gore, no serial killer. A very cleverly designed book. I L-O-V-E-D it! The rich, game-obsessed Mr. Westing has died, and sixteen people have been chosen to inherit his huge estate and fortune. Sixteen people who have never meet him, and maybe have never heard of him. One of them, he claims, has murdered him. How he knew who murdered him while he was still alive is haunting, and everyone is scared yet determined to find this person out. His will is a game of wits and courage, and whichever pair of persons solves it first, will discover who murdered Mr. Westing and will receive his vast fortune.
